On Friday I received a delivery at work. It was a beautiful vase of roses from one of my students. She also sent a card that said “Thank you for being wonderful you. It was a pleasure coming to class every day. You are a wonderful teacher.” I was so pleasantly surprised. There are so many days when it’s very hard and discouraging to be a teacher in an adult learning centre, but it’s things like this that make it all worthwhile. I really have to remember these good moments next time the chips are down.
