Potato Skin Pizza

I had this pizza recently at a friend’s house, and it was so good I could not stop thinking about it.  So today I attempted to make it myself…it turned out amazing!

My family has been eating potato pizza forever, but I love this new twist on it.  It is pizza dough with olive oil, thinly sliced potatoes (uncooked), bacon (cooked), chives, and cheddar cheese.  Dip in sour cream while eating.  YUM!!

Hunger Games

I had heard great things about The Hunger Games trilogy, and with the movie coming out this month, I thought it would be a good choice to read with my English class.  I took it home to read before the course and finished it in a weekend.  I loved it!  It is not usually my type of reading but I got sucked in quick and have now also finished the second book of the trilogy.

The story is about sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives in a post-apocalyptic world in the country of Panem where the countries of North America once existed. The Capitol, a highly advanced metropolis, holds absolute power over the rest of the nation. The Hunger Games are an annual event in which one boy and one girl aged 12 to 18 from each of the 12 districts surrounding the Capitol are selected by lottery to compete in a televised battle in which only one person can survive.

Glam Shoot

My mom bought a Groupon for a Glam Photo Shoot at a funky studio downtown Toronto.  She wanted some nice pictures of my sisters and I, so when Laura was home in February we went for our shoot.  We had lots of fun getting our makeup done and feeling glamorous.  We got almost 400 pictures, but here are a couple of my favourites.

Skating

We took Brandon for his first real “skate” a few weeks ago.  It took us about 40 minutes to get ready and packed up and get on the ice (complete with a “I have to pee” after he was head to toe in his gear) and he lasted about 6 minutes on the ice.

Static

The kids got a new “bouncy castle” for Christmas from their aunt.  It has kept them occupied for hours.  My favourite part is Maelle’s hair when she comes out of it!
