Out to lunch
We've had a couple of blog-worthy dining experiences lately. A couple of weeks ago, we went for fish & chips at a place here in town. After a year and a half living here, and one bad experience after another, we had pretty much given up on the restaurants that our town has to offer. We did, however, know that there was a good "Newfie" fish and chips place here in town, as we had eaten lunch there one day back when we were first house-hunting. The place has really sketchy hours, however, and basically every time we tried to go there since then it has been closed (despite their posted hours....I guess they just close whenever they feel like it). Anyhow, we finally coincided with them and ate there, and had quite the enjoyable experience. Now I didn't get any pictures of the food, but I have the next best thing....
Yummm!
We have also discovered a great Thai restaurant in Barrie (thanks to a recommendation from a co-worker of mine), finally! It's hidden away, but the food is amazing, portions are huge, and prices are super reasonable. It's called Thai Bamboo, and it's in the South end, on King Street. Here is Brandon keeping occupied while we eat our delicious meals. Again, I basically inhaled my food and forgot to take pictures....
After a while, he got bored and resorted to about 10 straight minutes of this:
And finally, we got together with my friend Liz at Yorkdale for dinner a couple of weeks ago. Again, no pics of food, but we got a pic of us!
