Let it Snow!
Well winter is upon us, perhaps not technically, but there is no mistaking the snow and the cold. It is still a honeymoon phase though, where outside is a sparkling "winter wonderland" and inside feels so cozy and homey. Carol and I went on the Barrie "Home for the Holidays" tour last weekend, in which we toured 5 Barrie homes that were professionally decorated for Christmas. We had a lovely day together, including tea and snacks at Georgian College, and so I was inspired to some Christmas decorating the past week or so. We just have the tree left to get.
We also started our prenatal classes on Sunday evenings at Serenity Birth Studio. So far we have discussed comfort in pregnancy and massage (my fave class!), labour and birth (scariest class), and medical interventions and comfort measures during labour. The next few classes are about breastfeeding, baby care, and transition into parenthood. We also started bi-weekly appointments with the obstetrician who seems great so far. She says that everything is right on track and we have a very healthy (and big......aaaaaaaagh!) baby. Only 12 weeks to go!
Here is a sneak preview of our (read: my) Christmas decorating, but you have to come visit to see the overall masterpiece :) Oh, and Kieran with his new buddy too......

Centerpiece Carol bought for us at the Home for the Holidays Show.

It wouldn't be winter in Simcoe without.......a snowblower!

Kieren- I like your snowblower!
Julia- I'm a little jealous that you have a friend at work named Aileen- it's a little too close for comfort. I hope you don't call her Barb!!!!
