Neighbourly Love

Our neighbourhood is the cutest! Everyone is so friendly and fun and spirited. First there was halloween which was a big deal with people making haunted houses in their garages/lawns, and everyone went nuts with decorations. Then it was someone's 40th birthday, so there were big bristol board posters and balloons all over the neighbourhood with pictures of the guy and funny quotes/sayings. I laughed the whole way home thinking of how mortified the guy must be. This morning on my way out I noticed fresh footsteps in the snow walking up to our porch, and then I saw a gift bag out there. I didn't have time to grab it, so all day I was in suspense about it....

Finally I got home and it was a gift of three Christmas tea towels and a tin of candies. It also came with a note:

Twas the night before Christmas

And all through Nottawasaga Village streets

Neighbours were laughing and giving out treats

All the famlies were nestled inside of their house

When a neighbour came over as quiet as a mouse

And has given you some Christmas cheer

In hopes you'll pass it on to 3 others before Christmas is here

Let's spread our joy throughout this town

And hang your Santa in your front window proud

So everyone can see that you have received this Christmas Cheer

And everyone will have a brighter Christmas this year!

So I guess we are supposed to continue the giving. We also received a Santa picture to hang in our window, so that people know we have already received a gift. I love it....so cute. And now baby's kicking like crazy.....s/he must like it too! :)
